S.A.L.T. (Seniors and Law Enforcement Together), Burlington Age-Friendly Seniors Council and SAVIS have come together to facilitate this workshop. It is focused on Elder Abuse and how to recognize the signs and give people the power to See it, Name it and Check it, while supporting a person in a positive way without judgement.
Neighbours, Friends & Families of Older Adults Learn what YOU can do:
- When abuse or neglect is happening to an older adult in your life
- How to keep yourself safe from abuse
- Recognize warning signs and risk factors
- Respond positively with safety and respect
